Think about it. It's just wrong. If you don't like the armor, then cover it with a cape Also, it doesn't matter too much if you look bad. You might get laughed at by noobs every 3 matches, but any good assassin will leave them in the dirt.

Get real man. A hair changer, ok I can agree with, but full sex changes? Aye right. And the male player/female character issue is kinda blown out of proportion I think. As a male player I have 3 male characters and 3 female characters, but if I had decided to make them all female then what would be wrong with that? Would I be seen as a pervert? Would I be seen as sexist? There's nothing to dictate what people MUST choose in relation to their own gender, it's a game, it doesn't matter in a virtual world.

Hairdresser or something, sure. But sex changer? Makes me shudder.
Just make a new character. Doesn't take long to get a lvl20 anyway, especially if you have money and gear already.

Like I said I was thinking of a 'gender changer'.

It would be a male/female in Ascalon and Shing jea (and you can punchase them for you guildhall too for 25 platinum(still thinking about price)). Changing your gender can be free or for like 1 platinum(still thinking about price).

I appreciate any comments but please no flaming

P.S. I used the search button and check several pages here but didn't see this yet, if there's already a suggestion like this, then please delete this one and I'm sorry then

Im sure someones already said this, so sorry if im repeating anything, but thats just not a good idea.

If your talking about changing hairstyles, or hair colours or facial hair, then I would accept that.

But to change your entire gender, is almost on the same level as those who suggest being able to change your in-game-name.

Its just not realistic, and its not something which Anet should spend time and resources on developing.

You choose your gender and IGN at the start. If you dont like it later on, then unfortunately its tough luck.

Its all just my personal opinion, but I think if you dont like the gender of your character, then you simply make a new character. We cant have everything in GWs just given to us.

Even if it was to be done, then I would suggest a staggeringly high price to have such a radical change made to your character.

The reason being:

Imagine your character has completed the game(s), got max 15k armor(s) and green weapons.

If you change your gender, in essense your creating a whole new character.

But you would automatically get the female version of your existing 15k armor.

This to me seems like giving people an unfair advantage.

Next thing we will have people asking to "change primary profession" ingame, because they dont like it and want to change armors. :P

I would have to change my character names as well, so I could not use that feature at all.

All these threads for "stylist, hair dresser, gender changer" are silly because what Anet should have done long ago and all they need to still do is let you access the already-existing character creation screen to modify any character how ever you want to. All this talk about giving less than that, and adding "new" things just to make doing less than that possible, is silly.

A couple things:

1. As gender changer it could also include appearance changer.

2. It's not about getting to level 20 again and stuff but I am not going to start over and delete my armor/weapons and stuff just for a female...

3. Would having a female char make me a SEXIST? How pathetic is that... Some proffesions just have better armor for females and most time the warrior armor is plain crap. Does that make me a sexist without a real-life? That's even more pathetic, how can you say that about somebody if you do NOT know him at all...

4.

Why? You paid for that 15k armor right? why would that give an unfair advantage? And you also pay for changing your looks so.

5. You think I looked at all the armors in the game before playing this game? Don't think so, When I started I didn't even know all these armors existed as I've never heard of it but now I need something to spend my money on and that's not on another set of ugly male assa armor :S

i like this option, i'd thought about it before too.
all my chars are from prophecies and there were no many 'cool' options for physical appearance, then in factions new hairs and colors and faces were added, in my opinion, they were (not all but some) better. i dont like my warrior hair
i know it is quite a stupid thing but whereas i love my ele and monk hair and face, i dislike my warior appearance

sry for my english, i'm spanish

i think that this is the way that any apperance changes should be immplemented,
and i for the idea of sex changes, which must make me the first one to be.

also it should be able to be used 5 times

I don't agree on changing your characters gender. That would be very weird plus the complications that would arise from it. However I think a barber and tattoo artist would be great additions.

this isn't unreal tournament, your character isn't just an avatar... it's at least somewhat of a persistant presence in the game-world. Some decisions in GW you should have to live with, your gender being one of them.

not to mention it would take a huge stretch to get anything like that to remotely fit into the game lore. I don't see how it's possible (short of you being killed and reincarnated as a new person or something)

Yet the Zaishen bots say "gg" to you after they win, what the heck does that have to do with game lore? Nothing. But the devs put it into the game anyways, and no one cares.

No one at all would care or notice if someone else's character is a male or female or changes from one day to the next. The only one who would notice or care is the character owner himself, who should have the choice of changing how his character looks via gender or anything else. Therefore there is no reason to prevent options to change gender or everything else you can change at the character creation screen.
